Manage Assets, Locations, Contacts, Docs and Notes From One Central Location.
Features: The premium version has asset management functionality that uses barcode technology. Barcode can provide a simple and inexpensive way to track material. The program manages the quantity, description, location and history of assets; as well as its supporting documentation such as Word document, spreadsheets, images, etc in a central repository. For example you are able to create templates for the desktop, printer or the laptops in use. Asset descriptions for these items can be created as well. Once the barcode labels have been attached it would be easy to track inventory in a location. The barcode can help you enter complete asset information.
The program is able to provide you all the assets deployed in a location. Find out the history of deployment of an asset item. View the deployment of assets by type at a location. The utility will help you detect duplicates too. Once identified you can edit the information associated or even get it deleted completely. It lets you assign a contact to each location and that should ease administration quite a bit. Making that one contact to the one point contact person for the assets will help keep things in order. Changing assets location is quite easy through batch assignments. Notes associated with assets can be stored, viewed and edited easily. Service notes for equipments, sales receipts that have been scanned and uploaded, photos, service records etc can all stay together with the main asset description. Asset documents version control can be imposed so that finding the latest piece of a specific record is no problem at all.
Overall: Good inventory control supported by barcode label generation and scanning. Supporting documents are also managed well.
